
Jazmine was born and raised within Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam her mother, who is Jazmine's mom, is an ex-backing singer with Philadelphia International Records. At the age of five, young, her father got in the role of curator at Philadelphia's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family moved into the historic landmark. The 2005 Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts graduate She is an instructor in the field of vocal music. Sullivan began her singing career as a contralto in the children's choir. She then joined shortly after, she was a part of the adult group. Sullivan wasn't exposed to secular music at first. "I began singing in solos in the church, and someone wanted me to sign up to a gospel record when I was 11. but I wasn't prepared to take that step," she says. Then, McDonald's held a contest for children in large cities. I was allowed to perform "Accept the Grace of God" on The show Showtime at the Apollo. And the audience was very supportive. Stevie Wonder sang her part at his 13th birthday. Sullivan made her first signing with Jive Records when she was fifteen. As a teenager She was signed by Jive Records. She made the entire album and it didn't get made available for release. Sullivan was eventually dropped from the label. She maintained a working relationship with Missy Elliott, who produced a number of the tracks in her debut album like the buzz track "Backstabbers" - produced by Timbaland and composed by Elliott.
